Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development (QF), was founded in 2010 to continue fulfilling QF’s vision of unlocking human potential. HBKU is a homegrown research and graduate studies University that acts as a catalyst for positive transformation in Qatar and the region while having a global impact.

Located within Education City, HBKU seeks to provide unparalleled opportunities where inquiry and discovery are integral to teaching and learning at all levels utilizing a multidisciplinary approach across all focus areas. College of Islamic Studies (CIS)

The College of Islamic Studies (CIS) provides a unique platform that contributes immensely to intellectual debates on Islam in a global context through its academic programs and distinguished research division, which include several research centers and clusters. The college’s two graduate degree programs, the Master of Arts in Islamic Studies and the Master of Science in Islamic Finance, equip students with the training and skills relevant to pursue careers in the academia and research, as well as cultural, business and finance sectors, through specialized tracks that are being offered.

CIS’s faculty are established experts within their respective fields who do not only resort to curriculum-based instruction, but encourage inquiry and intellectual pursuits that extend beyond the confines of the classroom.
